What type of learning do you offer?We offer three main options but this varies from course to course, E-Learning, Virtual or Classroom based.

Do I have to do all my training consecutively or can I split up the courses?Our courses run on a modular basis and you can start each course back to back if you wish or take a break between them.

How long do I have to complete my course?The general maximum registration is around 18 months but it can differ from course to course, please speak with us directly if you have any concerns about going over.

Do I need to bring my own tools?No, we provide all the necessary tools and materials to undertake your training. You may want to bring your own tools for practice or to work at your own speed.

What are the course start and finish times?Generally course times are Monday to Friday Start 9.00 A.M. Finish 4.30 P.M. however this can vary depending on your booking. Workshops are generally 9 A.M. start times and finish between 5-7 P.M.

What books are needed and how do I order them?There are x3 main books required for the Majority of our courses, On-Site Guide: BS 7671 (Latest Version) BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations Guidance Note 3: Inspection and Testing Additional learning and materials would be course dependent. Such as the IET Exam preparation books. Upon booking a course with us you will receive the recommended/required reading list.

When will I get my exam results?All online exams you will find out your results straight away, for written papers and other assessments if can take a few weeks.

What is the usual pass rate for attending students?We have some of the highest pass rates in the UK there are on average 90% + and on some courses such as 18th edition where pass rates are 98%.

When can I start the course?Courses start throughout the year, we do not follow the traditional school or university academic year (no summer holidays for us). E-Learning courses can be started at anytime.

How can I pay for my course?We offer a range of flexible payment plans for learners, to pay as you progress through our courses. Payments can be made via our website or our preferred method of BACs (Bank Transfer).

How do I pay for my training course?We accept all major credit /debit cards. Bank transfers via BACS and CHAPS is our preferred method. There are also various pay as you go at 0% options. Please contact us directly to discuss Cheque or Cash payments.

Any Additional Costs?Our prices include VAT, Registration & certification on all courses. You are required to have your own copies of the books for the courses. Remote exams and exam resits may be chargeable.

Where is the Centre?Our center is Nottingham based, but with the E-Learning and virtual Class options we offer, we have learners across the UK, including Scotland, Wales and Ireland. See our full address in the website footer.

Can I visit the Centre?Yes, we are happy to show you round and discuss your learning and options with you in person. Please call us to arrange your date/time slot, this is booked on an appointment basis.

Can I park at the Centre?Yes, we have plenty of free and secure onsite parking.

Do I need any prior Experience or Qualifications?Some of our courses require experience, but each course is different. You can see more information on each course page. If you are a beginner and don’t know where to start click here.

When will I get my certificates?Generally certificates takes 6-8 weeks from completion to get your certificate to you. This can involve quality checking and verification processes. We are also dependent upon the awarding body City and Guilds to generate your certificates.

Will I receive a qualification?Yes all of our City & Guilds courses will lead to a qualifications and full certification

Will my qualifications be recognised?Yes City & Guilds courses are industry recognised qualifications in the UK.
